Episode 1:

The Invasion of the Neighbours

Doris’s peaceful evening is shattered when Gangsta and Lizzie, two unruly cats, burst through the cat flap. They eat her food, ruin the washing, and leave muddy paw prints everywhere. When the Morris parents return, they blame Doris for the mess. Only Amy and Ted suspect the truth. The children set up a trap, catching the invaders red-handed in a flour-and-water explosion. Doris is finally vindicated and rewarded with tuna, while Gangsta and Lizzie are sent packing, humiliated and cold outside.

Episode 2:

The New Addition

When a new baby arrives, Doris’s world is turned upside down. Once the centre of attention, she is constantly shooed away from the cot, baby clothes, and milk. Her attempts to join in end in disaster, from being covered in Sudocrem to leaving cream trails across the carpet. Left out in the garden, Doris sulks — until baby Max cries and immediately calms when Doris appears. Slowly, Max and Doris form a bond, with Doris’s tail becoming his favourite toy. By the end, Doris accepts her place as protector and friend in the bigger family.

Episode 3:

The Dog with the Missing Leg

Doris, injured and bandaged, discovers a three-legged dog living next door. At first resentful, she notices their shared struggles and tries to befriend him. After initial fear, the dog warms up, and the two begin a tentative game of passing a stick back and forth. Doris recognises that disability doesn’t mean weakness — especially when the dog shows he can move with surprising speed. Amy and Ted eventually discover the friendship, and Doris ends the day curled up contentedly, no longer feeling alone.

Episode 4:

Doris Eats Too Much

Tempted by the smell of prawns, Doris becomes obsessed as Mum prepares elegant tartlets for dinner guests. Despite being shut out, Doris schemes until Amy sneaks her a prawn. But it isn’t enough — Doris sneaks back into the kitchen and devours all the prawns, leaving only empty pastry shells. When the guests arrive, Doris grows sick, burps, and finally vomits prawns on the carpet in front of everyone. Banished in disgrace, she learns the perils of greed, even as Amy and Ted forgive her.

Episode 5:

Losing Direction

Curiosity leads Doris into the back of a delivery van, which drives away with her inside. Thrown about by parcels, she escapes at the next stop only to find herself lost and alone. Days of scavenging leave her tired and thin until she spots a “missing cat” poster with her own face. A kind old lady rescues her with food and calls the family, leading to an emotional reunion. Back home, Doris realises just how much she means to Amy, Ted, and even her strict parents.

Episode 6:

Time for Holidays

As the family packs for a seaside holiday, Doris desperately tries to insert herself into suitcases and bags, only to be shooed away. Left behind with a neighbour, she initially sulks but soon indulges in fresh fish, prawns, and cream. By the time the family returns, Doris is so spoiled and fat she can barely move. Embarrassed, she faces a new “diet” imposed by Mum — lettuce and cucumber in her food bowl — leaving her with a final burp of protest. It’s a comic reminder of how much she loves her family, and food.
