Grumpy never felt so good.

Doris Morris began as a children’s book by Janet Kelly, a successful UK television and film writer. The book charmed children and parents alike with its humour, warmth, and everyday family life told through the eyes of an eccentric cat. Today, Doris has grown into a multi-format screen project — ready to delight audiences around the world.

The property has been developed in two forms:

  • A web series of 15 x 10-minute animated episodes that follow Doris’s everyday mischief at home, and
  • A feature film titled Doris Morris and the Invasion of the Neighbours, where Doris faces her biggest adventure yet after bully cats frame her for chaos she didn’t cause.

Based on the beloved book series.

Both formats combine slapstick fun for children with clever, layered humour for adults — in the tradition of Paddington, Shaun the Sheep, and Puss in Boots.

With new hybrid AI animation techniques that combine professional actors, writers, and animators with cutting-edge tools, we can deliver high-quality, broadcast-ready animation at a fraction of traditional costs. Following a successful launch at the American Film Market in Los Angeles, the project has attracted strong early interest from international partners, reflecting the appeal of both the character and our production model. With Janet Kelly’s writing, Resonant Blue Studios’ production capacity, and a beloved character at the centre, Doris Morris is positioned to become a family favourite.
